Huss & Dalton 000 Sinker Mahogany/ Italian Bearclaw Spruce- 12 fret 000 short scale guitar with precision balance tone. We custom ordered this one with a handpicked Italian Alpine Bearclaw Spruce top and river salvaged Belizean Sinker Mahogany back and sides. If you like wood with a story, it doesn’t get any better. The Mahogany used on this guitar is old growth wood that was originally cut in the 19th century when Belize was a British colony. The rivers of Belize was the main source of transporting these giant logs. Occasionally the denser logs would sink and have forgotten for over 100 years. Because of the high organic content of the river bottoms, these logs did not rot. They aged in the mineral rich waters that give the wood an amazing color. This guitar is custom ordered with no stain for that reason. Other features include Ebony Fretboard/ bridge and pins, Nickel Waverly Tuners with Ivoroid buttons, Indian Rosewood body and neck binding, herringbone/ rings rosette, Abalone logo and fretboard inlay, 1 3/4” nut, 2 5/16” saddle spacing, 24.9” scale.
