KIDS/TEEN GROUP GUITAR

FALL 2010

 Saturdays starting September 18th 2010-

10 Weeks- $150

Kids Guitar 1- Ages 7-9*  Sat. 9-9:50am  “Introduction to the Guitar” - Learn the basics of reading music, strumming chords, and songs in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Teacher: Doug Summers

Kids Guitar 2- Ages 7-10** Sat. 10-10:50pm-“Learning the Guitar” -Completion of Beginning Kids1 or permission of instructor required. Continue learning to read music and get to know the notes on all 6 strings in the open position. Expand on chords, rhythm, songs and basic scales. Teacher: Doug Summers

 Youth/Teen Guitar 1- Ages 11+ Sat. 11-11:50pm -“Introduction to the Guitar” -Learn basic chords, popular songs and rudiments of reading musical notation in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Teacher: Doug Summers

Youth/Teen Guitar 2- Ages 11+ Sat. 12-12:50pm-“Learning the Guitar” -Completion of Youth/Teen 2 or permission of instructor required. Continue learning and expanding your knowledge of the guitar. Expand on chords, rhythm, songs and basic scales. Teacher: Doug Summers

* 6 year olds with desire to learn will not be turned away.

** knowledge of some written music and basic chords or completion of beginning class required.

All classes are 50 minutes each week for 10 consecutive weeks. Tuition is $150 ($15 a week) due in full prior to the first class. Tuition is is non-refundable and missed classes cannot be made up or credited. Paid tuition secures your spot in the class. There is a maximum of 10-12 students per class. All students must have their own acoustic guitar. Payment can be made in store or by credit card over the phone.
