DOWN HOME GUITARS MUSIC SCHOOL

     Down Home Guitars offers private music lessons and group classes on a variety of instruments for people of all ages and skill level. Our mission is to provide a friendly and encouraging learning environment where people can come to develop their craft to better express themselves musically and creatively. Whether you are new to an instrument or have been playing for decades, the teachers at Down Home Guitars will help you realize your goals while having fun.

     We realize that everybody learns at different levels and that everyone is unique and has different tastes. Because of this, the teachers at Down Home Guitars will build a curriculum for each student based on what concepts and techniques they are looking to advance in. All of our teachers are highly skilled and highly trained working musicians who truly have a love for music and are passionate about passing on their knowledge and real world experience to help make future musicians for generations to come.

Kids Guitar Classes Ages 7-9 years*

        "Introduction to the Guitar"

        January 14th - March 17th ($175)

• SATURDAYS 9-9:50am
• 10 weeks
• Learn the basics of reading music, strumming chords, and songs in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for the young beginner. 
• Teacher: Doug Summers

 

Kids Guitar 2-  Ages 7-10**

        "Learning the Guitar”

        January 14th - March 17th ($175)

• SATURDAYS 10-10:50am
• 10 weeks
• Completion of Beginning Kids 1 or permission of instructor required. Continue learning to read music and get to know the notes on all 6 strings in the open position. Expand on chords, rhythm, songs and basic scales.
• Teacher: Doug Summers

* 6 year olds with desire to learn in a group atmosphere will be accepted.

** Knowledge of some written material and basic chords or completion of class 1 required.

Group classes are 50 minutes long for 19 weeks. Tuition is $175 ($17.50 a week) due in full prior to the start of the class session. Paid tuition secures your spot in the class. Maximum 12 students per class. All students must have their own acoustic guitar.
